Where Do I Move? is operated by Silver Directive LLC (“we”). This policy describes what we actually collect and why. We have tried to keep it specific rather than generic — if something isn't listed here, we don't collect it.

What we collect, and why

Nothing, if you just browse. Searching cities and reading report cards requires no account. Your preferences (income, weights, filters) are processed to return results and are not stored against your identity.
Account data — if you register: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password itself.
Saved searches — if you save one: the search settings you chose, linked to your account, so you can return to them and (optionally) get alerts.
Email address — if you subscribe to updates. Used only to send you what you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Payment information — if you subscribe to Pro: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep only Stripe's customer and subscription identifiers so we know your plan is active.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. That is the only cookie we set ourselves. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set their own cookies to serve and measure ads — see below.

Third parties we use

Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
Google AdSense — display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and review your choices at aboutads.info/choices.
Affiliate partners — if you click a partner link (apartments, movers, renters insurance), that partner may set a cookie to attribute the referral. See our advertising & affiliate disclosure.
Hosting & database — our host and database provider process data on our behalf to run the site.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run any third-party analytics or tracking product.

Your choices

Delete your account and data. Email us and we will delete your account, saved searches, and subscription record. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first (or ask us to).
Unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any email we send.
Access or correct the data associated with your account by contacting us.

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and objection to certain processing. We honor these requests regardless of where you live — just ask.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
